Pay: The hourly rate for this position is between $25-32 per hour. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
Position Overview
The Field Service Technician I supports the field team with the assembly, installation, maintenance, and repair of power transformers and highvoltage substation equipment. This entrylevel role focuses on safe work practices while assisting experienced technicians with transformer assembly, oilprocessing support, and basic mechanical and electrical field duties.
• Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements.
• Participate in safety meetings, training sessions, and jobsite briefings.
• Identify, report, and help mitigate potential safety hazards.
• Assist with assembly, installation, and setup of power transformers, including alignment and mechanical connections.
• Learn and apply correct bolting, wiring, torquing, and fastening techniques.
• Safely handle, move, and transport tools, materials, and field equipment.
• Support senior technicians with basic troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of transformer and substation apparatus.
• Learn to recognize and help replace components such as bushings, gaskets, and basic hardware.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to ensure accurate and efficient field operations.
